3 Hero Backline
Obviosly inspired by sabway/discordway and just the popularity of N/Rt healers. All I'm really doing is saying take some prots or your N/Rts won't be so hot on their own.
A 3 hero backline sounds like you'd be putting too much effort into defense, but they can also provide a lot of offense and utility. You can easily adjust the heroes to be more focused on offense/defense/utility depending on the area and the rest of the team.
2x N/Rt Healers
11-12 resto, 9+ soul reaping
Core skills: signet of lost souls, mend body and soul, spirit light, protective was kaolai, life/rejuvenation/recovery.
The healers can use any of your standard N/Rt variants...
Curses: SS, corrupt enchantment, pain of disenchantment, rip enchantment, weakean armor, enfeebling blood, mark of pain (micro it), defile defenses (works well with discord).
Blood: SV, life transfer, well of power, blood bond, blood ritual, mark of fury, strip enchantment.
Death: Discord, putrid bile, withering aura.
Soul: IV, foul feast
Resto: Xinrae's weapon, spirit light weapon, weapon of warding, vengeful weapon, flesh of my flesh, death pact signet.
1x -/Mo Protter
10 protection prayers, weapon of enchanting
Core skills: Shield of absorption, protective spirit, aegis.
The /Mo protter can be a lot of things, as long as the first half of the build leaves them enough energy to use their prots.
Popular builds that can fit the prots...
N/Mo MM/Bomber/Discord/Curses, most common choice, similar to sabway and discordway.
Rt/Mo SoS channeler, with spirit siphon and splinter weapon.
Mo/- or -/Mo Smiter, with strength of honor and using the open class for e-management.
Me/Mo Panic mes, with panic, some big damage dom skill, and some inspiration magic for energy.
You could do plenty of other things with the protter too, like E/Mo with AoE spells and GoLE, or even a full prot monk or heal/prot hybrid monk (or N/Mo) if you feel the need for more defense.

This thread confuses me. I guess you're saying bring healers and something with prots? I suppose there are still people who don't know this, but its pretty much common sense. Note that you dont have to use necros as the /rts. Mesmers and rits are both excellent choices as well.

Actually it's more of 'you can put prots and rit heals as utility on the end of bars'. Something we've known for quite a long time.

Quite right, I didn't see that it was X/Mo Protter, rather than what I thought I saw which was Mo Protter. /doh.
So yes, this is essentially minor tweaking to sabway? Where everyone brings Dwayna's Sorrow or Prot Spirit already with their MMs?
I already felt that Sabway had already evolved to not just incorporate the original builds, but to build upon the N/X utility and use skills like Spoil Victor and etc.
Yet again, it all depends on what you're doing.
I don't really know what this thread is about, because OP trails on about even bringing a full prot monk or even an E/Mo. Is this worth discussing? lol

I'm just laying out the template cause everyone I pug with screws it up and brings just N/Rts and don't even know what the good N/Rt skills are.

The question still stands. What is this for? Why are you pugging for extra heroes? The entire team being N/X is quite redundant. Having so many hexes and heals, will destroy your speed in which you're killing mobs. Sure you can stand in a mob and go afk whilst your heroes heal you until eternity, but where's the fun in that?
If you're bringing the necros, ask someone else to bring a panic/tease mesmer, Searing Flames and something else, with yourself running a damage dealing bar to tick those red bars down.
Or are we talking about hardmode? Oh wait, that's easy too. Just swap out skills depending on the area; more hex removal, more enchantment strips, more condition removal.
And if your PUGs can't understand the fact you need to change builds for specific areas, why are you playing with them? That's begging for a headache.

What other people said, but also, I want to repeat my previous post. You could have done exactly the same thing by linking a bunch of pvx builds. The only difference is that you might have looked at that post and thought, "Hmm, this post isn't actually going to serve any purpose. I bet people who read this forum already know about pvx and can find the builds for themselves."
